Welcome…
I’m English, new to blogging, and curious to see if I have any opinions to share about things other than hot beverages. (I do, incidentally, rather approve of the Oxford comma.)
Anyhow, I love literature. I’m also rather partial to philosophy, both the rigorously analytic kind and the lounging around in armchairs/on the floor kind. I like discussing ideas, I like interpreting and opening up poetry and texts, and I occasionally indulge in my own outbursts of creative writing. I also adore words and have a soft spot for aphorisms and perfect phrases. I’m also fascinated by time, and by the rate at which biscuits can disappear from the packet.
This blog will therefore be dedicated to aspects of the above. I’d imagine more will go on poetry than on biscuit-eating, but at this stage who can tell?

He’s one of my favourites too, although my current preference is probably still Wallace Stevens. Favourite poem ever is probably ‘Of Bright & Blue Birds & the Gala Sun’. Don’t know if you know it. I’m going to have to do a post about it at some point when my work load’s a little lighter though. It’s just perfect…
